How about crowdfunding this old property that is near to the Marina on Gower Point Rd, and converting it into an organic butchers for the community?

The town of Gibsons has never had a good quality independent butchers. I think that this building would lend itself brilliantly to becoming the first in the community. It could source its meats from the local farmers across the Sunshine Coast and we could ensure that all produce was reared and grown using organic processes.

We could crowdfund the building then offer discounted meats and other produce to anyone willing to invest in the business e.g. if you invested $100 you could get $120 worth of meat in return once the business was up and running.

It would be great to get some other ideas on this and to see whether or not people would be intersted in seeing this idea move forward.

Great idea. I have always been frustrated that there is not a specialist butchers. I would be happy to contribute to this idea should it get off the ground.

There is also a great farmers network on Bowen Island the business could source meats from. Also, how about integrating a fresh vegetables section as well?
