Background

Hydrogen Plus is a Canadian company that owns the North American rights to distribute an innovative, patented, Hydrogen-on-Demand diesel engine technology. The technology was invented by another Canadian company (Innovative Hydrogen Solutions), based in Ontario, and has been refined over many years. The hydrogen-on-demand unit is not much bigger than a car battery and can be installed on any large vehicle, including large trucks, buses, trains, ships and stationary generators.

How it works

It uses electrolysis to separate the Hydrogen and Oxygen molecules from a small distilled water tank and then inject tiny amounts of both molecules into the air intake manifold of any large diesel engine. This causes the fuel to burn more completely so that the engine can run 15% further on the same amount of fuel with far fewer harmful emissions. It also means that the engine requires much lower maintenance (fewer oil, filter and fluid changes) and extends the life of the engine. The longer engine life and lower maintenance saves another 5% resulting in a total fuel and cost savings of 20% per kilometre driven.

The technology has been successfully installed in hundreds of large diesel engines and its effectiveness has been fully certified by independent third party testing agencies. Customers are delighted with the technology and many report that the savings are even greater than 20%, especially for very large engines and engines where it is costly to shut down the engines for regular maintenance (see testimonials below). In most cases, customers report that the cost of each hydrogen-on-demand unit can be recovered from savings in less than one year.

Better still, this technology can help to significantly boost company Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) ratings because the technology has been proven to achieve the following emission reductions:

• 15% reduction in CO2 emissions
• 10% - 25% reductions in NOx emissions (smog)
• 30% - 80% reductions in particulates
• 15% reductions in Total Hydrocarbons (THC)

These reductions can yield even greater financial savings because the technology is eligible for carbon credits, allowing customers to receive annual carbon credit payments each year.

Our offer to you

Because we are so confident that the technology delivers the results described above we would like to offer selected new customers (e.g trucking companies, rail operators, diesel generator owners) a 4-month free trial of the technology to prove that it delivers all the economic and environmental benefits we claim it does.

Here is where you can help us. We are looking to borrow money for a six month period so that we can buy and install the equipment, and then pay back lenders when the free trial period is over and the customer pays for the unit. Because we believe most customers will install the technology on the rest of their fleet once they see how well it works, we are willing to pay a generous 14% interest per annum for the six-month loan period.

If you know of a company that owns large diesel-power trucks, buses, trains, or generators that you think will enjoy the financial and environmental benefits of installing this technology, please send us a quick email with their contact details at harold@hydrogenplus.com.  In addition to the 14% interest, we will pay you $500 for each specific referral to a firm or organization that subsequently agrees to install this technology. The more companies that install this technology, the more they will save, and the more progress we will make in reducing the impacts of climate change.

More information on the technology

• It requires no maintenance other than adding small amounts of distilled water (e.g. 1 litre for every 1,500 kms driven in a semi-trailer truck).
• Each unit lasts for the life of the engine and can easily be transferred to another engine.
• It is very safe since no hydrogen is stored in the unit and it only operates when the diesel engine is running.

How we will use the funds

We would like to raise a minimum of $50,000 and up to $100,000 by obtaining loans from lenders like you for a six month period, which we will use to buy and install 6 - 12 HydrogenPlus units as part of the 4 month free-trial program. At the end of the six month period we will pay you back the money plus 7% interest (14% interest per annum for 6 months).

By making it possible for us to offer this free trial program, you will not only generate a great financial return but you will be helping to make a very important environmental contribution.  Everyone who participates in this financing will receive advance notice of future financing campaigns from HydrogenPlus.

The minimum investment for this campaign is $1,000 and you can invest up to $2,500. If you obtain advice from a registered investment dealer and that dealer deems the investment suitable for you, you can increase your investment to a maximum of $10,000.
