THE PROJECT
We came up with the idea of opening a soap refill shop in our community about a year ago. Like most people we are aware of the environmental issues our planet is facing and we feel compelled to be a part of the solution. We got inspired by all the amazing zero-waste shops we see around us and decided to bring this concept to our city. Port Moody residents are already showing a commitment to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle. We want to engage our community in the process as we strongly believe cooperation is the best way to achieve positive changes!
Port Moody Refillery will open in February 2019 sharing a space with Tea & Paper Nook in Newport Village. We are sourcing locally produced, eco-friendly soaps and cleaners you can feel good about using!
WHAT THE MONEY WILL BE USED FOR
We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help us purchase our opening inventory including:
- shampoos
- conditioners
- body washes
- bubble baths
- body lotions
- soaps
- hand soaps
- skincare and beauty products
- all purpose cleaners
- laundry detergents
- dishwashing liquids and powders
- feminine hygiene products
- beeswax wraps
- reusable straws
- dryer balls
- reusable lunch & snack accessories
- tea towels
- dish cloths
- bulk bags
- mason jar accessories
- and other zero waste essentials
By sharing a space with another shop, we are able to keep our expenses as low as we can and have a smaller environmental footprint. We want to open our doors in February with as many exciting eco-friendly products as possible! We need your help to get us properly started! We have a reward offering for everyone!

Do you prefer using naturally scented or unscented shampoo and body lotions? We are looking into various options. Please share your thoughts!
Generally I prefer to buy unscented, especially for products shared by husband and kids, but it’s nice to have some naturally scented options as well.
Hello Rita, thank you for sharing your thoughts! We are sourcing both options as we agree that it is nice to have the choice. We will see you very soon- thank you for your support!
Definitely unscented! With the prevalence of essential oils in the market now, more people are able to add oils as they desire for aroma or healing properties.
Hello Andrea, thank you for your feed-back! We will defenitly carry an assortment of unscented products. We look forward to meeting you in person once we open!
