About the Peka Project
Beautiful Gate Orphanage is building a working farm, home, and school for children from six to eighteen who remain unadopted and have fallen through the cracks of the broken Lesotho foster system...to offer these children a chance at a flourishing life.
It's called the PEKA PROJECT: 33 acres in north west Lesotho (in southern Africa) where children can love, play and learn in a caring and safe environment.
An Exclusive Live Performance
A stellar cast of ten actors joined the PEKA PROJECT to create a virtual live fundraiser presentation: actors performed scenes from the film and theatre work of John Patrick Shanley - spanning his career. With an audience of over 200 attendees, the event has raised to this point $21,000 and that means the farm has a well, water tank, and a finished fence.
We are now on our way to raising the $100,000 needed to connect the property to the electric grid ...and then we can finally start building and farming. One day - not too far in the future - we will see children running across that property. I can't wait.
Continued Support
All proceeds go to Beautiful Gate Orphanage: The Peka Project

Will the event be archived so we can watch later? We are going to miss a portion of the live broadcast. Thanks!
Hi Chuck: unfortunately we are unable to record and re-broadcast the event for a complication of listening problems with both actors and the writer.
Sorry you may miss some of the event. However, THANK YOU for your contribution to the project. Every registration pushes us closer to opening the home for the children. Thank you.
See you Saturday.
What an amazing group of actors – I thoroughly enjoyed watching every scene. Chuck and I were at the Maple leafs: Canucks game during the zoom viewing and don’t you know I recorded it I holding Chuck’s phone over my iPad and for 20 minutes while I had my earbuds in, I recorded the sound of the hockey game instead of everyone’s scene. At least I got to enjoy it (and my Lizzie) and remember it fondly. Mostly, I’m so pleased to hear amount of donations accrued toward the Peka Project!!
That was “licensing” not “listening” …but I was auto corrected!! Thanks, again.
