Sickle Point’s dense wild rose and riparian thickets are critical habitat for the red listed Yellow-breasted Chat. With its loud whistles, hoots and clucks, this beautiful bird is more often heard than seen.

Donations of $250 to $999 will receive a Green Ribbon and be recognized on a plaque under the category "Bullock's Oriole". This flashy orange coloured bird prefers riparian corridors with open deciduous woodland and scrub forest for nesting and foraging. Winter walks along the KVR trail expose their unique hanging nests that are difficult to see in breeding season.

In the Okanagan Valley the unmistakable murmuring and large V formations of the Sandhill Cranes remind us of Spring renewal and the coming of Fall. Often during their long migration small flocks rest overnight in the shallow waters and protected lagoon at Sickle Point.

Donations of $10,000 to $24,999 will receive a Green Ribbon and be recognized on a plaque under the category "American White Pelican". Many people are amazed when they see this beautiful white pelican visiting the wetlands at Sickle Point in the spring and fall.

Donations of $25,000 to $49,999 will receive a Green Ribbon and be recognized on a plaque under the category "Trumpeter Swan". This graceful and peaceful visitor brightens the long winter months and short dreary days as it paddles in the protection of Sickle Point’s lagoon and wetlands.

Donations over $50,000 will receive a Green Ribbon and be recognized on a plaque under the category "Bald Eagle". Like a sentinel, the Bald Eagle keeps watch over Sickle Point atop a tall Ponderosa Pine. Protecting These wetlands will provide a home for this majestic bird and the many species that rely on the habitats at Sickle Point.
