Sheep mow urban park in Montreal

Biquette à Montréal (Lambs in Montreal) has found a new way to manage lawns in Montreal parks – let them be mowed naturally by sheep! The organization is piloting a project in two parks in  Rosemont, where neighbourhood councillors are open to innovative approaches to city services. The goats spend the night in a pen but roam freely in the parks during the day. Public education events sensitize park users to the presence of the sheep and their role in park ecology.
