Santa Con: Where everyone gets to be Santa for a day

My wife and I travelled to Seattle for a short getaway this past weekend.  We were heading out for dinner on Saturday, December 15th, 2018 when we noticed a few people wearing Santa Clause or elf outfits.  As we got closer to Pike Place Market this turned into dozens of Santas and eventually hundreds.  After a quick google search, I discovered that over 180 cities around the world have earmarked one day just before Christmas where everyone is invited to don their best Santa Claus or elf suit and parade through the downtown streets.   The photo above is for the intrepid group that came out in the pouring rain in Vancouver.   Vancouver was one of six  Canadian cities that participated in SantaCon.  The other Canadian entries included Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal, and Charlottetown, PEI.
