Build a network of cohousing communities in the Okanagan, with the goal of creating connectedness.

Thousands of homeowners live disconnected from neighbours and friends due to the distance between each and our focus on car-based connections. A cohousing community, whose primary goal is to create a warm, friendly community for 25-35 homeowners will diminish the impact of loneliness, isolation, and depression and support great mental health for each of the homeowners. The focus is building a healthy community of people with secondary value in reducing our environmental impact. Since the model requires investment in a common area for regular meals and gatherings, it will not be low-cost housing but it will be less costly since each home will require less space than a standard single-family home.
