Cars should be parked further from intersections to decrease blindspots.

Cars parked too close to intersections create blind spots for drivers. Drivers need to pull into the intersection to see if passing is safe.  Large hedges also make visibility harder for drivers  to see other cars and pedestrians.

Hi Suesana, thanks for the comment. The Town’s engineering staff do take sight lines into account when planning an intersection design or installing signs and painting curbs for parking. If you have an immediate concern about blind spots or other traffic safety issues, please contact the Engineering Department at 250-656-1184. Thank you!
