In single family neighbourhoods, residents have lots of tools, sporting goods, lawn mowers, camping gear, and lots of other possessions that the rarely ever use. What if a “sharing shed” was created where people could store stuff they rarely use so that it could be rented for a small fee to other people in their neighbourhood who need it. The share shed could be a shed in someone’s back yard or a garage. The sharing shed would operate in similar way to a tool lending library except that its primary focus would be to serve people within walking distance of the “sharing shed.”
