Hi Steven, Sidney is participating in this pilot project (led by Saanich) to examine lowering speed limits to 40km/h on all non-yellow line/unsigned roadways:http://www.sidney.ca/Business/Projects___Initiatives/Speed_Limit_Reduction_Pilot_Project.htmHowever the pilot project requires provincial government approval before beginning. If that happens, the study would run for a test period of 3 years, then the results of the change would be evaluated.You can contact the Town’s Engineering Department for more information.
