The Pat Bay Highway runs parallel to the backyards of the residents of Maryland Drive and is presently close to or at the same level as their homes. The noise is loud enough that two people standing next to each other can not carry on a conversation with out raising their voices to the point of yelling. I’m sure the noise exceeds provincial guidelines. Should some testing be done? In the summer when the windows are open and ferry traffic heads toward Victoria it’s really bad. This noise will only increase with more freight, tourism and population coming to the island in the future.
