Run a “Sand in the City” Fundraising Event
This idea is to run a contest in a public square or downtown parking lot where corporate teams compete to create the best sand sculpture and at the same time help to raise money for an important community project. The “Sand in the City” program has been successfully implemented in a number of US cities, although we are not aware of any being run yet in Canada.
